3xThree : Reuse, Recycle, Refine

Three times 3 is a project concept of equipment image recycling, and refined media presentation. Incoorporating nine disused cathode ray tube (CRT) monitors, the objective is to create a portable video wall to video, animation and motion graphics works. The proposed for use in exhibition, installation, performance art, for testing and developing of innovative graphic displays. The video wall is constructed in three parts, consisting of three monitors standing upright in a cage frame. The monitors will be connected by a VGA splitters and can be operated in several configurations: Simultaneously powered by one computer or dvd Three times 3 is a nine-screen standalone video this configuration, all the screens will display the content.

This project demonstrates responsible reuse of equipment which is difficult to recycle or dispose environmentally sustainable manner. As well, Three 3 encourages students to experiment with and examine image recycling by allowing them access to a graphics output solution nine times more diverse than a single monitor. In the advanced configuration with a graphics students would have the opportunity to develop their motion graphics design across nine screens, creating works which play across one large videowall, graphics towers or nine satellite screens.
